DANNY CARMICHAEL BAND

The DCB is a jazz quintet and to date has released one album “Live at the Excelsior”. The album has received much coverage on local and national radio as well as favourable print media reviews. Nominated as Australian jazz ensemble of the year it is undeniable that the Mothership orchestra is the most consolidated assemblage of highly respected young improvising talent in Australia. The Mothership’s 18 members include 10 National Jazz Awards Finalists(3 winners), an Australian Jazz Artist of the Year, James Morrision Scholarship Winner, a finalist in the Thelonious Monk competition, a finalist in the Hoolieart International Jazz comp. and a proud new father.

An acoustic duo featuring Danny Carmichael on vocals and guitar next to Rodney Wikstrom on violin. The duo plays acoustic versions Dannys songs. The duo has recently been playing a Sunday night residency in Glebe.
